After various requests from participants who would like to train their theological English, we want to offer some English-language courses.

The Sermon on the Mount is the great inaugural address of the Messiah-King Jesus. He orders who is welcome to his kingdom, what laws are to be observed, what kind of ethics to be embraced. The pillars of his kingdom are justice and mercy, peace and love. His kingdom is about “doing justly, loving mercy and walking humbly with God” (Micah 6:8) and thus the fulfillment of Israel’s hope through the ages of the Old Testament. Through the Gospel we are summoned to the banners of the Messiah-King Jesus. Dare we follow Him?
A basic demand of English is required. Sentence structure and vocabulary are limited to basic English. Theological technical words are explained. The students are encouraged to participate in discussion and welcome to ask questions concerning English. As long as they do so in English. German translation and explanations are limited to very rare exceptions.
